Background & Experience

Violin studies through high school in NY metropolitan area. Co-concertmaster of high school Youth Orchestra, attended NY Allstate Orchestra, Kinhaven Music School. Viola studies on collegiate level at the Peabody Conservatory, The Yale School of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Music. Principal teachers: Karen Tuttle, William Lincer, Jessie Levine, Heidi Castleman. Served as Heidi Castleman's teaching assistant at CIM and Jessie Levine's teaching assistant at Yale.

Teaching experience includes over 30 years of teaching in New York, Connecticut, Ohio and Montana.

Although many of my students have gone on to pursue their musical studies in college, I teach a wide range of ability levels. The most important quality I look for in students is an interest and desire to play their instrument. It is my goal to provide quality instruction so my students' lives are enriched by their ability to play their instruments and be expressive through music.
