Background & Experience
Hi! I'm Janine Kallen. For the past 20 years, I have taught in a relaxed manner that helps my students really enjoy what they are learning without any anxiety or stress. I am comfortable teaching beginner through advanced piano, violin, viola, and cello lessons. I like starting beginners with the Suzuki string method and piano with Faber Piano Adventures. I like my students and/or their parents to communicate with me what they want to get out of private lessons so I can help them with their needs. Sometimes this means learning classial solos, folk tunes, orchestra music, preparing for auditions, or pop music. I have taught private lessons at my own home studio as well as at Glenbard East High School in Lombard, IL and Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, IL.
