Background & Experience

Brandon LePage is a versatile flutist who is in very high-demand as a freelancer in the Metro Detroit area. Currently, Brandon holds the Piccolo position with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra and has recently performed with the Toledo, Battle Creek and Jackson Symphony Orchestras. He holds degrees both from the Michigan State University College of Music where he held the Principal Flute scholarship with the MSU Symphony and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where he was awarded the Woodwind Area and Chamber Music Teaching Assistantship. While in San Francisco Brandon served as Principal Flute of both the Opera Parallele and BASOTI Opera Orchestras as well as being a key member of the SF Bay Quintet.

Brandon maintains a private studio out of his home in Southgate, MI as well as holding positions at A+R Music in Lincoln Park, MI (Mondays and Tuesdays only) and Jefferson High School in Monroe, MI (Thursdays only). Brandon's main goal as a teacher is to help students to find their own unique tools to understand how to actively communicate with others through their instruments and "speak" musically. his students have competed in MSBOA Solo and Ensemble to high acclaim often gaining scores of "1" and are also active in their schools often participating in multiple ensembles.
