To tell you a little about my background, I've been playing the bassoon for over 20 years and am a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music.
I've been teaching bassoon lessons since 2000, and enjoy working with all ages and levels of students. In addition to my private studio, I am on the faculty at Loyola University Chicago as the Instructor of Applied Bassoon. I am also a member of the chamber music faculty with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras where I coach weekly.
As a performer, I held the position of Second Bassoon with the Canton Symphony Orchestra for four seasons, and Wheeling Symphony for two seasons. I've participated in several music festivals including the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, Bellingham Festival, and Cayman Arts Festival in the Caribbean, to name a few. As an active freelancer and substitute musician, I've enjoyed performing with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Grant Park Music Festival, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Michigan Opera Theatre, and many others.
