I’ve been employed as a professional musician since 1995 but started tutoring violin as a teacher’s assistant from 1988. Since I was a college student I gave private lessons for children, and later for college students. I have enjoyed meeting and working with many varied personalities. I have had wonderful experiences teaching preschool through adult with different level and abilities and do so in a way that each student feels special, valued, and encouraged. One aspect of being a great teacher is having excellent organization skills, which includes lesson planning, gathering materials, and ensuring that goals are completed in a timely manner. I feel these are all strong points of mine.
