Idea Girl, Musician, & Entrepreneur – With a serious independent streak
Raised in the NW suburbs and transplanted to the heart of Chicago, Sarah Marsh has been playing the cello since she was ten years old. Her talents were first developed through her public school’s music program (thanks Mr. Bettcher!) and continued through her professional education at DePaul University’s School of Music. She is a passionate advocate for personal happiness and discovery – always striving to find the balance between artistic inquiry and philosophical conviction.
Sarah has performed to critical acclaim in concert halls worldwide with many classical music legends, including: Yo-Yo Ma, Daniel Barenboim, and Pinchas Zukerman. She currently lives in Chicago’s River North neighborhood teaching cello, violin, and piano to students of all ages. Sarah manages the classical musician booking agency, Symphony Sounds, which she started on her own as a student at DePaul. She also performs every chance she gets.
