In addition to a career as a performer, Jacob enjoys a working with younger generations. He teaches private trumpet lessons for middle and high school students and teaches audio recording and theory at the International Academy of Design and Technology in Chicago.
As a composer, sound artist, and creative improviser, Jake creates site-specific sound works to accompany installations, theater and movement works. His work evokes the raw emotional power of sound and music, using it to contextualize artistic ideas in other mediums.
