Jessica Jordan is on the violin faculty at Northwestern University's Music Academy, Lake Forest High School, and Midwest Young Artists (MYA). In addition to private lessons, she is also the Early Childhood Coordinator, Choir Administrator and Private Lesson Coordinator at MYA.
Jessica received her Bachelor’s of Music in Violin Performance and her Master’s of Music in Violin Performance and Pedagogy from Northwestern University while studying with Gerardo Ribeiro. Jessica is also Suzuki trained through book 3 along with various other early childhood education methods.
Beginning her violin studies at the age of 5 with Stan Smith of the Aurora Suzuki Violins, Jessica went on to study with Thomas Wermuth of the Western Springs School for Talent Education and Drew Lecher of Naperville, Illinois. She has performed in master classes for William Preucil, Mark Zinger, Mimi Zweig, the Ying Quartet, the Hugo Wolf Quartet and the Cassatt Quartet. Her performances have been broadcast over WFMT-Chicago and most recently over WPR-Madison when she won the Neale-Silva Young Artists Award. She has spent her summers touring Europe and at various music programs such as the ARIA International Summer Music Festival and the Meadowmount School where her quartet won performance honors.
Jessica resides in Evanston and freelances in the Chicagoland area.
