Hello, and thank you for stopping by!
I have a BFA in Music Composition from California Institute of the Arts, the college recently ranked the #1 Art and Music school in America.
20 years of experience on piano
10 with voice
5 with cello
Training and experience with theory, rhythm, and composition.
My teaching style is very malleable and flexible. I will create and modify exercises, repertoire, and teaching approach depending on an individual's capabilities. My goal is to make lessons fun and informative as well as provide students with excellent performance and competition opportunities. All students will be expected to perform in at least one recital per year, and must practice at least 15 minutes a day.
I can teach almost any style of music. Ragtime, Classical, Folk, Pop, Ethnic, Movie and Video game music... the list goes on! If the sheet music doesn't exist for the piece you want to learn, no problem; I can write it up for you and arrange it to your level and ability.
Generally, Suzuki books are used in conjunction with whatever else the student wants to learn or whatever exercises are needed for the individual to improve.
